There are lots of ways to impact children and teenagers and help meet some of their basic needs. Whether you want to make an impact locally or globally, we have something for you!

CHILDREN'S ATTENTION HOME

We impact at-risk children through our partnership with the Children's Attention Home. We offer care, compassion and resources to help provide a safe place for abused and neglected children in the community. The Children's Attention Home ServeTeam prepares and serves a hot dinner to approximately 50 children and staff members on the 3rd Sunday evening of the month. SOUTHWEST MIDDLE SCHOOL

We believe that mentoring at the crucial middle-school age (11-14) helps students feel secure in their identity, do better in school and have stronger and more healthy interpersonal relationships. We work with students at Southwest Middle School during the school year. 

READING BUDDIES

Reading Buddies is a childhood literacy program offered at several local elementary schools. This team serves for an hour a week during the school year and helps children improve their reading skills in order to read on their grade level. 

We recognize the importance of being a strong voice in the life of this school and believe it’s no accident that it’s located almost literally in our own “backyard”. At Lake Wylie Elementary School, we’ll champion our causes of homelessness, child literacy, care and community impact by helping to meet the emotional, physical and mental needs of the students, teachers, staff and parents. We’re offering a variety of both on-going and one-time ways to serve this school through projects like Reading Buddies, teacher appreciation, mentoring, campus beautification, open houses and more!
